Alexander R. Schlee, Esq., is a Senior Attorney in the firm’s Intellectual Property, Patent & Trademark Practice Group. With over 25 years of experience, Mr. Schlee advises clients on international and domestic patent, utility model, trademark, and industrial design matters.
As a former mechanical engineer (Dipl.-Ing.) and technical designer, Mr. Schlee assists clients in navigating the complexities of the PCT, U.S., European, and German patent systems. He founded the Los Angeles office of a German intellectual property law firm in 2000 and established Schlee IP International, P.C. in 2007.
Mr. Schlee is admitted as a German Patent Attorney, European Patent Attorney, European Trademark & Design Attorney, U.S. Attorney at Law (California), and U.S. Patent Attorney. His practice is complemented by active leadership in the IP community, including board and officer roles in LAIPLA, OCIPLA, and the International Law Section of the State Bar of California. He is also an active member of AIPLA, INTA, several local IP bar associations, and the German-American Business Association (GABA).
